The Opportunity Our client is a growing Melbourne-based boutique law firm specialising in high-value Mergers & Acquisitions, seeking a career Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join in a newly created role. This is a hands-on position working directly with the Principal, combining legal support with involvement in the operational side of a growing practice. The firm advises entrepreneurs, SMEs and mid-market clients across M&A and financial services, offering interesting, commercially focused work. The Role This isn’t your standard support role. You’ll be across the full lifecycle of matters while also playing a key part in how the practice runs day to day. Your responsibilities will include: Drafting key transactional documents including NDAs, Share Purchase Agreements, Disclosure Schedules, Asset Purchase Agreements, and Board and Shareholder Resolutions Complex formatting of transactional documents Supporting due diligence processes Managing diaries, inboxes and key workflows Drafting correspondence and client communications Billing and general administrative processes Acting as a key point of contact for clients Contributing to systems, templates and process improvements About You 4 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a transactional practice group such as Corporate Commercial law Strong document formatting skills and high attention to detail Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities Comfortable working autonomously within a lean team Why Apply?
